I know I've been MIA on this blog for a while, but it's been for a good reason — I had a baby! His name is Deacon, and he's pretty perfect. He came a little early, so I wasn't prepared at all. Not only was I just not mentally "ready", I hadn't even started the nursery or had my baby shower. We didn't even have a carseat! The nursery is coming along though, slowly but surely. As for this blog, I have big plans for it.

I was feeling a little bad that I had a boy's nursery all planned out but had absolutey nothing planned for a girl. This was so unlike me. I mean, I've been thinking about nursery schemes for the past ten years, if not longer. But now that it's all very "real", all of my previous ideas seemed very lackluster. Yet, for some reason I've been bound and determined to have a girl's nursery plan in mind before I even find out if it is a girl. I had the boy's nursery figured out, so it's only fair, right?

Lately I have seen so many pictures of adorable stair runners that have made me want to rip up the carpet on my stairs and whip out the trusty paint brush and nail gun. But, alas, I cannot just yet. I recently came across this super cute quote: "Logic will get you from A to B. Imagination will take you everwhere." Surprisingly, that quote comes from ole Albert Einstein himself. Maybe you're not surprised. I probably shouldn't be. I'm pretty sure he said lots of great things in his day. I guess there's a reason they call him a genius.
